Tamasine Smith contacted me on a Saturday afternoon after I had put my 2 year old female Labrador retriever (Joey short for Josephine) up for adoption on the Internet via lab.rescueme.org.

Tamasine explained how the rehoming process worked and what she would do in the case of Joey. I could actually hear her passion for working with dogs over the telephone and there and then I decided to give my Labrador another chance and let Tamasine rehome Joey for my family instead of rehoming her for someone else!

Tamasine is very knowledgeable and really understands the relationship between a dog and it’s human. What she told me over the phone made absolute sense.

Joey underwent three weeks of training at Tamasine’s farm with the help of her very balanced Ridgebacks.

Tamasine is also an absolute professional – I received a training contract, loads of advice and constant emails and photo’s updating me with Joey’s progress. It was like Joey was still here with us even though she was many kilometers away. We also received a report at the end of the training and a photo-music DVD of Joey’s training experience – excellent for the memories.

On Joey’s return home, Tamasine spent the weekend close to my home so that she could follow up on Joey’s behavior in her home environment. Tamasine was therefore so supportive of us and of Joey and she still continues to keep in touch with us.

Tamasine is a sincere person, brilliant at her work and a real inspiration. The world needs more people like Tamasine Smith who can make a difference in the lives of dogs and their humans.

I highly recommend Tamasine Smith as she’s calmed an extremely high-energy dog, like Joey, and provided us with the necessary support to build on the solid foundation that she has so painstakingly laid.
