5 Star Bark Review
We adopted our dog in August 2021, who came to us with behavioural issues. He was extremely reactive to any wildlife, lead reactive to other dogs, he was frightened of buses, lorries and trucks with trailers which caused him to dangerously lunge out into the road. Walking him was exhausting and we began to fear and dread going out with him.

Then I found Tamasine through Bark and I knew straight away from her introductory email that she would be the right person for us.

We started training through video calls teaching us the foundations of dog handling and distraction techniques in a calm methodical way. These were backed up with notes and example videos. At first we went to quiet areas to practice with fewer triggers for him which also helped us gain our confidence. With our new found knowledge we learnt to manage his triggers in a very short time. It wasn’t easy and required consistency, commitment and practice. We regularly sent short videos to Tamasine and she came back to us straight away with positive feedback. We added two in person sessions with Tamasine which brought it all together and gave us the invaluable opportunity to iron out things we hadn’t got quite right.

Now five months on we have a completely different dog. We all have more fun and have confidence. Although we still have to be on the ball to anticipate situations, we now know how to deal with them.

Tamasine has a wealth of knowledge. Not only with the training but dietary needs, getting the right equipment  i.e harness, leads. She has helped us with all of this.

Tamasine is a very reliable, genuine, positive and encouraging professional and an all round fabulous woman too! We can’t recommend her and her training methods highly enough. We’ll be forever grateful.
